Purpose & Vision


"First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do"

Many organisations spend lots of money on skills and product training and very litle on aligning employees with the vision.  Much time goes into the writing of a vision and a mission statement when businesses are being dreamed about and business plans written. 

But somewhere along the way, the day to day busy-ness clouds the vision of the busi-ness.

Businesses that know what they stand for grow and thrive.  Everyone can name one or two businesses that they would love to work for or a company with a vision they can identify with.  These organisations rarely pay the best salaries and yet they can demonstrate industry leading levels of staff satisfaction and staff retention.

Many organisations that invest in training become increasingly frustrated with the results...or the lack of them.  Yet much training leaves highly qualified and skilled individuals equally frustrated that they cannot put their newly discovered talents to work effectively. 

We think things should be different

By focussing on the organisational vision and encircling that with departmental vision and purpose, the roles and responsibilites of individuals and teams become very clear.  Individuals' responsibilities become far more readily understood and can be better defined.  The results and the outcomes that each individal must successfully achieve in order to succeed in their roles can be aligned with the company vision and objectives.  Then it is time to ensure the skills exist to do the job.
